The 2008 Onion Patch Series got underway with the 154th New York Yacht Club Annual Regatta sailed in Newport Rhode Island June 14-15. Stage 2 of the series, The classic Newport Bermuda Race started June 20th in Newport and concluded with Stage 3, the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club Anniversary Regatta June 27th.
